John Cecil Stephenson

John Cecil Stephenson’s (1889-1965) Painting 1937 is a clear example of art, architecture and design being used in conjunction. Stephenson was a pioneer of Modernism and his work influenced both Abstraction and the Bauhaus school with his attempts to convey function in design.
